all of the iMacs now have dedicated video cards, with the lowest end being the ATI Radeon HD 4670

New Mac Pros will be released in August,  with base models coming in these 2 configurations:

- $2499: 1x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core / 3GB RAM / 1 TB HD
- $3499: 2x 2.4 GHz Quad-Core / 6 GB RAM / 1 TB HD

There will be an unbelievable 12-Core (yikes!) upgrade option available which will jump the starting price to $4999, as well as Solid State HD options up to 512GB.

Also released today is a Magic Trackpad for Mac Desktops. Billed as a trackpad with the same functionality (and probably more as firmware updates come) as the current trackpads on the Mac laptops with a 80% size jump. The Magic Trackpad also is aluminum encased and will run $69 (giggity). I wonder if this will be available for artists to use as a tablet...hmmm.

Also released today was a 27" LED Cinema Display. It's basically the same exact one that's out now, with the iSight, USB Ports, MiniDisplay Port and MagSafe adapter in a 27" modeil going for $999. The 24" has been bumped down to $799.

Finally, Apple quietly released a battery charger which charges AA NiMH rechargeable batteries. The charger comes with 6 rechargeable batteries (2 for each peripheral - Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and bluetooth keyboard), will be priced at just $29, and touts a rechargeable life of 10 YEARS... whew.

Next in line for Apple? Some say that iLife '11 may be released as early as next week, and will dump iDVD (possibly integrating it with iMovie),  and have a brand new "mystery application".... hmmm....
