New Music: Chris Brown - "Turn Up The Music"

From his as-of-yet-untitled upcoming release.

RIP, Dr. Clare Fischer, Composer Extraordinaire

Legendary composer Dr. Clare Fischer passed away yesterday
Dr. Fischer was best known as a string arranger for
artists such as Rufus and Chaka Khan, Michael Jackson, DeBarge, and, arguably  most recognizably and distinctively as Prince's string arranger from 1985 until at least 2009.
It was well noted that Prince and Dr. Fischer never physically met,
with Prince preferring to send Dr. Fischer music via mail for him to work on and send back,
beginning conjunctively with his album "Parade" as well as serving as orchestra composer and arranger for the film "Under The Cherry Moon" as well as The Family's first self-titled album.
He will be sorely missed.
Here's a discussion with Dr. Fischer and his son, Brent,
along with one of Dr. Fischer's most distinct Prince arrangements,
"Pink Cashmere".
If you fast-forward the video to about 50:32, Dr. Fischer will
speak for a few minutes on the making of Prince's
"I Wonder U", from "Under The Cherry Moon" and its soundtrack  album "Parade".
Lecture: Clare Fisher (Seattle 2005) from Red Bull Music Academy on Vimeo.

New Music: @A1BOLD - "Shot Caller" (IYDK Remix)

My homie @A1BOLD dropped this DOPE remix of French Montana's "Shot Caller".
THIS is why I fool with him.
Also check out @A1BOLD featured on the forthcoming mixtape "SubSurface",
on the song "Again: Part 2" HERE

RIP, Etta James

Legendary singer Etta James passed away today at the age of 72
of complications from leukemia and dementia.
Below is her last known national television appearance in 2009,
on "Dancing With The Stars".
Rest peacefully, Ms. James.

New Music: Amber Rose feat. Wiz Khalifa - "Fame"

I'm actually surprised by this one.
It's good. Not great, IMO, but radio-friendly and good pop music.
I'm diggin' the chorus. It's catchy.
Hey... at least it's better than THIS.

New Music: Rick Ross, French Montana, Drake and Common - "Stay Schemin' (Remix)" [NSFW]

I've been STUCk on Common's album "The Dreamer/The Believer"
for a MINUTE now. It's great to hear him make some hard hip-hop with NO I.D. again.
I particularly love the full album version of the lead single "Sweet",
which is pretty much directed toward Drake, who reportedly popped off at the mouth
about him after hearing the song... and Common pretty much had a field day with him,
doing a remix to a song that Drake appeared on.
Drake... with all due respect, sit down.
Common is one of the best battle rappers in the game, quiet as it's kept.

New Visual: @BSLADE Premieres "A Brilliant Catastrophe: The Movie"

@BSLADE finally is beginning to release the full-length feature film
to the duel-album set "A Brilliant Catastrophe", which were both released
in 2010 under critical acclaim.
@BSLADE has stated via Twitter™ that a master DVD disc has been authored.
Hopefully, we'll all see the film either on TV or in stores or Netflix/Redbox soon... :)
Check out the full-length film below (movie sections will play in succession)
