Classic Jam Of The Week: Clivilles & Cole - "Pride (In The Name Of Love)"

This has to be one of the best U2 covers ever. The gospel choir REALLY brings out the message of the track, to the point that even almost 15 years later, I get chills hearing it. The late David Cole, 1/2 of the producing partners known as C+C Music Factory (along with Robert Clivilles, produced and remixed a lot of Mariah Carey's early hits, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, etc. David Cole died of spinal meningitis in 1995. David Cole especially, at least to me, brought such musical diversity with his arrangements, coupled with Robert Clivilles' house/club production. RIP, David Cole.
